The purpose of this Insurance Policy is to clarify the types of risks that HAVANI does and does not cover, to outline the customer’s responsibility to obtain independent insurance if desired, and to address how insurance may apply to shipping, delivery, loss, theft, damage, and post-purchase care.

Insurance Provided by HAVANI

HAVANI does not provide insurance for loss, theft, accidental damage, misuse, environmental exposure, or any damage occurring after delivery. Once an order is delivered or marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility for the item transfers to the customer. Any insurance covering theft, loss, or damage after delivery must be obtained by the customer through a third-party insurer.

The only protection HAVANI provides is through the separate fourteen-day Limited Warranty, which covers verified manufacturing defects only. Warranty coverage does not replace or act as jewelry insurance, and it does not apply to issues caused by wear, water, chemicals, impact, environmental exposure, improper care, accidents, or modifications performed by any third party.

Customer Responsibility to Obtain Insurance

Customers are responsible for obtaining independent jewelry insurance if they want coverage beyond HAVANI’s fourteen-day Limited Warranty. Insurance may be acquired through private insurance companies, homeowner or renter policy extensions, or specialized jewelry insurers. Customers should contact their preferred insurance provider to determine eligibility, coverage requirements, and premiums.

HAVANI does not sell, recommend, endorse, or receive compensation from any third-party insurance providers. It is the customer’s responsibility to evaluate policy terms and select coverage that meets their needs.

Documentation for Insurance Purposes

Upon request, HAVANI may provide documentation to assist with a customer's insurance enrollment, including order confirmations, product descriptions, photos, or other supporting details. HAVANI may provide these documents only to the original purchaser or an authorized party.

If an insurer requires additional documentation, valuation, or appraisal, HAVANI may provide general product information but does not provide formal appraisals or replacement value statements unless specifically offered for a particular product.

Shipping and Transit Insurance

During transit, orders may be insured by HAVANI or by the shipping carrier at our discretion. Transit insurance, when applied, covers the package until it is marked as delivered by the carrier. Once a package is marked delivered, coverage ends and responsibility transfers fully to the customer. HAVANI is not responsible for theft, misdelivery, or loss occurring after the carrier confirms delivery.

If insurance applies during transit, claims must be filed in accordance with the carrier’s claim procedures. HAVANI will assist with information needed for the claim but does not guarantee approval or reimbursement.

Insurance Claims for Delivered Orders

If a customer wishes to make an insurance claim for a delivered order under their personal insurance policy, HAVANI may assist by providing documents such as proof of purchase or product specifications. HAVANI cannot file claims on behalf of customers and cannot communicate with insurance companies without the customer’s authorization.

All losses after delivery, including theft, accidental damage, or unexplained disappearance, fall outside HAVANI’s responsibility and must be resolved through the customer’s independent insurance policy.

Limitations of This Policy

Nothing in this Insurance Policy expands HAVANI’s obligations beyond what is expressly described in the Terms of Service, Refund Policy, Warranty Policy, or Shipping Policy. HAVANI is not liable for losses resulting from a customer’s failure to obtain appropriate insurance, nor are we responsible for denied claims made to third-party insurers.

All services, documentation, and assistance related to insurance claims are provided at HAVANI’s discretion and may require identity verification. Insurance-related requests may take additional processing time.

Interaction With Other HAVANI Policies

If there is a conflict between this Insurance Policy and any other HAVANI policy, including the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service will control. The Refund Policy governs eligibility for returns and refunds, and the Warranty Policy governs eligibility for manufacturing defect evaluations. Shipping and delivery responsibilities are outlined in the Shipping Policy.

Changes to This Insurance Policy

We may update this Insurance Policy at any time to reflect changes in procedures, laws, or business operations. Updated versions will be posted on havaniny.com and will take effect immediately unless otherwise required by law.
